While two neighboring garages were destroyed in a fire Sunday afternoon, firefighters are celebrating efforts that likely saved nearby lakeside residences.
Firefighters with the Montcalm Township Fire Department were dispatched at 12:25 p.m. to the report of a generator that had caught fire, with the fire spreading to a garage at 3601 Holiday Dr. on Perch Lake.
