Since 1854 — News from Montcalm County and Ionia County, Michigan
Four years ago, Montcalm County voters overwhelmingly approved a millage request to fund Michigan State University (MSU) Extension services (including the county’s 4-H program) and Montcalm Conservation District services.
Four years later, those organizations are hoping voters will be willing to renew that millage.
If you have ever been to the Ionia County MSU Extension, you most likely have come in contact with Janice Ransom as the first person to help you or the first voice you heard on the telephone.
After 31 years with MSU Extension, Ransom is retiring. Her final day in the office will be Dec. 22.
