A local business owner is hopeful the acquisition of a new parcel of land in a neighboring township will allow him to expand operations and address an issue with “overflow.”
In order for that to happen, Roy Ferguson, president of The Eagle Group Ltd., will need to receive a few additional steps of approval if the manufacturer of equipment for mixing, transferring and storing bulk solids materials is able to expand.
Now, perhaps more than ever, manufacturers and skilled-trade jobs are in need of additional workers, especially those coming out of high school or college with a passion for getting into the industry.
Starting today, students from all seven public school districts in Montcalm County, along with a handful of Montcalm Community College (MCC) students, will get a chance to see what some of those careers look like with the return of Discover Manufacturing.
