Judge dismisses AG’s case against Lowell police officer

An Ionia County Circuit Court judge on Thursday dismissed a Michigan Attorney General’s case against a former Lowell police officer relating to shooting at a fleeing vehicle, ruling that the officer should not be treated as an ordinary citizen.

The judge admitted that her ruling may be “blazing new territory.”
