Man resentenced for 2006 murder of Hubbardston woman

A man convicted of murdering a Hubbardston woman in 2006 was recently resentenced nearly a decade after the Michigan Court of Appeals ordered his resentencing due to his juvenile status at the time of the crime.
Justin DeWayne Stephens, age 24 at the time of his trial, was convicted by a jury in July 2011 of killing Bernita “Billie” Cunningham, 80, in her Hubbardston home in December 2006. Stephens was 17 years old at the time of the murder.

It’s called “Sweepstakes,” and winning that competition is extremely difficult.

Cassidy Cashen was crowned this year’s queen. Her court includes runner-up for queen Harleigh Faylor, Junior Miss Carrayh Cashen, first runner-up for junior miss Aubree Peiffer and second runner-up for junior miss Aby Brown.
