Ionia’s First Presbyterian Church, Ionia First United Methodist Church and Lyons-Muir Church had a fundraiser earlier this month for Have Mercy’s homeless shelter that is coming to Ionia Township. The group performed the play “The Ladies of Harmony.” The group was able to raise $3,145.
Ionia theater event to raise funds for homeless shelter while providing some laughs
Three area churches are collaborating on a theater event this weekend to raise money for a shelter for homeless families in Ionia, and to offer a few laughs to the community after a tough year and a half.
First Presbyterian Church, First United Methodist Church and the Lyons Muir Church are sponsoring three performances of the comedy, “The Ladies of Harmony,” at First Presbyterian Church, 125 E. Main St.
