Multiple parents are asking the local health department why they are requiring certain COVID-related rules for public schools.
However, the local health department is declining to take responsibility, saying they are just passing on CDC recommendations and the decisions are completely up to the schools.
The Mid-Michigan District Health Department is not planning on issuing face mask mandates for Clinton, Gratiot and Montcalm counties, but that doesn’t mean residents aren’t concerned about the possibility.
Multiple people attended Wednesday’s Board of Health meeting both virtually and in person to speak out against mask mandates.
