1995 GHS graduate Jon Coles is recipient of 2022 Outstanding Alumnus Award

The 2022 Education Foundation of Greenville’s Outstanding Alumnus recipient is Dr. Jon Coles.

Jon, a 1995 graduate of Greenville High School, received his bachelor’s degree from Valparaiso University, his master’s degree from Central Michigan University and his Ph.D. in sports management from North Central University.

Setting goals is a routine part of life for many people and can be the driving force to improve areas of performance or accomplish specific tasks. Runners often set goals for finish times when they are running races. To help runners achieve those goals, some races feature pacers.

Greenville community reflects on the memory, legacy of longtime school board president Janet Ralph-Warnshuis

As a prominent supporter of public education, there may have been no one who championed more diligently for the needs of students, staff and educators than Janet Ralph-Warnshuis. 

The longtime member of the Greenville Public Schools Board of Education, who for more than 30 of her 44 years on the board served as its president, died Tuesday at Green Acres Retirement Living in Greenville. She was 88 years old.

The annual Hark Up! “Hometown Style” Christmas returned to Greenville on Wednesday evening, a holiday concert in which all proceeds went to the Education Foundation of Greenville, the nonprofit that generates and distributes financial resources for Greenville Public Schools to enhance or supplement educational opportunities for students.

Stafford, Wyckoff celebrated as outstanding Greenville alumni for 2020 and 2021

Honored for their high levels of achievement, leadership and service to their community, along with having demonstrated a willingness to share their talent, time and resources to assist youth, two men have joined an impressive list of Greenville High School alumni.

Every year the Education Foundation of Greenville (EFG) honors one alumnus. With COVID-19 having prevented any in-person public acknowledgment last year, members of the EFG were proud on Friday to celebrate both 2021 Outstanding GHS Alumnus Rob Stafford, 58, along with 2020 Outstanding Alumnus Steve Wyckoff, 74.
