Surrounded by dozens of friends and family, all of whom were packed into the council chambers of Greenville City Hall, Adam DeWald, 48, found himself nearly speechless Tuesday evening as he searched for words of appreciation.
“I’m extremely grateful, I mean …” the Greenville man said before trailing off to collect himself, fighting against tears that began to well in his eyes.
Always an advocate of expanding walkability throughout this community, Larry Moss would have it no other way than to take a stroll on the sidewalk when meeting an associate for lunch in downtown Greenville.
However, Moss never made it to that lunch appointment on April 2.
