Last summer, after the cancellation of her track season due to the coronavirus pandemic, Kim (Buskirk) Proctor was leaning toward forgoing her final year of eligibility on the Grace Christian University track team.
“It’s been a long eight years of running and a lot of ups and downs,” Proctor told the Daily News.

A wrestling career spanning two high schools and three colleges ended with a national championship for Nolan Saxton.
The Lakeview native took a winding road spanning nearly more than 900 miles when it was all said and done, completing the path with a national championship in 2021, his final season of collegiate wrestling.

John Forton still gets the same feeling every time he steps on a tee box.
Forton remembers being young and learning to golf as a 5-year-old, learning the game from his dad. Forton swung for the first time, as he remembers, with a “rusty, old three-iron.” After that first swing, he fell in love with the game.
