The owners of a Pierson Township golf course are considering developing it into an RV park and more.
Rick Rookstool told the Daily News that he and Brenda Steuer as Bass Lake Golf Club LLC purchased Whitefish Lake Golf & Grill at 2241 N. Bass Lake Road from 19th Hole Group in April 2021. They are each a 50% owner and Rookstool co-manages the business with Brenda’s husband, David Steuer.

After three deadlocked votes failed last week, the Pierson Township Board voted unanimously Tuesday to accept Montcalm County’s audit and proposed agreement of Big and Little Whitefish lake records.
Supervisor Dan Buyze, Clerk Sara Burkholder, Treasurer Kathy Hyrns and Trustee Bill Grice were all present for last week’s special township board meeting, but Trustee Jason Bergman was absent, meaning there was no tie-breaker available to resolve a trio of 2-2 votes.

The Pierson Township Board in three deadlocked votes failed to approve accepting an audit of Big and Little Whitefish Lake records, despite multiple audience members begging them to accept the compromise and move on.
