As Kassidy Lake, 17, stepped onto the turf of Legacy Field on Monday morning, the high school senior’s heart was flooded with excitement and optimism.
With each step taken out onto the field, the color guard co-captain began to realize just how significant the first day of band camp was for herself and her high school peers.
