Ionia County commissioners OK $1.4M in American Rescue Plan dollars as ‘revenue loss’

The Ionia County Board of Commissioners on Tuesday evening approved placing almost $1.4 million of American Rescue Plan funds in the general fund to replace lost county revenue due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Commissioners approved the methodology used to reach that number and the calculation itself, and authorized Administrator Stephanie Fox and Finance Director Linda Pigue to report this to the U.S. Department of Treasury.
