Township committee discuss options for former school buildingA committee has been formed in response to the recent listing for the sale of the former Grattan Academy Charter School at 12047 Old Belding Road.
The Grattan Academy Board of Directors voted in 2016 to consolidate that school’s classrooms and students with what is now known as Flat River Academy in Eureka Township.

Montcalm County Animal Control officer resigns
Montcalm County’s Animal Control officer has submitted her resignation after the controller-administrator recommended she be promoted to director, and then rescinded that offer.
Autumn Pumford’s last day as Animal Control officer will be Oct. 14. She submitted a letter of resignation to Montcalm County Controller-Administrator Brenda Taeter and the Montcalm County Board of Commissioners on Monday.
