Thank you all for doing so much to make M1 so very successful. Today, I will officially retire, and Hailie Patterson will be the new M1 CEO. Please know Hailie is an upgrade.

Belding’s The BEL celebrates 10 years of local history with free Sunday event

If you were to hear about a museum where children can go to learn about local history and industry and have hands-on learning experiences, you might think a trip to Grand Rapids is in your future.

But this particular place can be found right in downtown Belding, a hidden gem on the second floor of the Belrockton Museum at 108 Hanover St.: the Belding Exploration Lab, also known as the BEL.

Belding business donates children’s bicycles

Thanks to funds gifted by Flat River Group, an “e-commerce accelerator” business in Belding, 20 local organizations will distribute 650 bicycles throughout the community over the next few months.

Ted Kortes, founder of Greenville Community Bank, remembered for kind spirit

Ted, whose connections throughout Lakeview and Greenville resulted in countless friendships in both communities, died Sept. 17 as his wife, Nancy, and two sons, Jeffrey and Andrew, comforted him along his bedside.

Tim Skubick

TIM SKUBICK: Who can put Humpty Dumpty back together?

The whirling noise you may have heard recently is the all the moderate Michigan Republicans who are spinning in their collective graves over the direction their beloved party has taken since they departed. Donald Trump is the leader and unelected at that.
