German’s teacher and Belding assistant cross country and track coach, Morgan Jackson, mentioned in class that her husband attended a small community college in the Rocky Mountains — Colorado Mountain College Leadville. It wasn’t much, but it piqued the interest of German, who was undecided on her college of choice at the time.

Two bicyclists riding in a Make A Wish Bicycle Tour were struck and killed by a suspected drunken driver while three others were severely injured late on Saturday morning.
Ionia County Central Dispatch received a 911 call at 11:15 a.m. about a car that had run into a group of bicyclists in the 3000 block of Stage Road of Ronald Township.
