Greenville Rotary and Lions clubs provide meals over spring break for 65 students 

With each container of peanut butter, box of pancake mix and can of tomato sauce that made its way into a care package Thursday evening, members of two charitable organizations took solace in knowing that each and every food item would go toward keeping a child from going hungry this spring.

Bulldog powerlifting places six at state with new head coaches leading team

Heather Kasper looked at the Ionia powerlifting squad at the first practice and was admittedly nervous. 

She had been around the team for two seasons prior as an assistant coach to Dave Pierce. But Pierce needed to step away from the program as facing different hours at work and was just not going to be able to give the Bulldogs his best. 

Ionia County board renews Commission on Aging agreement

A longtime operational agreement between the Ionia County Commission on Aging (CoA) and Ionia County that was allowed to lapse at the end of last year was ratified last Tuesday in a 5-0 vote by the Board of Commissioners.
