I’ve learned a lot from the dogs in my life including compassion, loyalty and joy. If we simplified our lives a bit and “listened” to what our pets tell and can teach us, we might just live a little more peacefully and be kinder to ourselves.
Montcalm Township Board tables hiring planner
The decision to hire a planner to assist this township with its wind ordinance and master plan won’t happen for at least another month.
During Wednesday’s meeting of the Montcalm Township Board, the board had before it a proposal from the lone candidate who submitted a bid to work for the township in the role of a planner — Mark Eidelson of Okemos-based Landplan Inc.

‘Hometown girl’: Montcalm County’s Lena Rader Meijer dies at age 102
