Ransom to retire from Ionia County MSU Extension after 31 years


If you have ever been to the Ionia County MSU Extension, you most likely have come in contact with Janice Ransom as the first person to help you or the first voice you heard on the telephone. 

After 31 years with MSU Extension, Ransom is retiring. Her final day in the office will be Dec. 22.

Stanton hires environmental law firm for PFAS help

The Stanton City Commission voted to engage with an environmental law firm regarding per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) matters.

City Manager Jacob VanBoxel first spoke at a Nov. 9 meeting about engaging with the Rhoades McKee law firm in Grand Rapids about the ongoing PFAS situation Stanton has found itself in.
