Eureka Township planners to finalize barn event rules

As several interested entrepreneurs are seeking to offer the service of renting event barns soon, the rules to abide by are one step closer to becoming official.

During Wednesday’s meeting of the Eureka Township Planning Commission, commissioners voted unanimously to schedule a public hearing for Jan. 20 to amend the township’s zoning ordinance to include a subsection specific to barn event venues.

Carson City Council to pursue water and sewer grant

The Carson City Council on Dec. 15 approved pursuing a grant opportunity which could be used to help with city water and sewer.

Council members heard a report from Spicer Group of St. Johns about a Drinking Water Assessment Management Grant opportunity that would give funding to the city water systems.
