Russell Wonsey sat in his living room the Monday before Thanksgiving, from all visible indications feeling comfortable in his skin.
The clock was approaching 9:30 a.m. and the Greenville man, naked from the waist up, stretched out his arms. Then he leaned back in his reclining armchair and took several deep inhales from his cigarette, blowing the smoke up into the air where it hung in a lazy fog above him.
As several interested entrepreneurs are seeking to offer the service of renting event barns soon, the rules to abide by are one step closer to becoming official.
During Wednesday’s meeting of the Eureka Township Planning Commission, commissioners voted unanimously to schedule a public hearing for Jan. 20 to amend the township’s zoning ordinance to include a subsection specific to barn event venues.
The Carson City Council on Dec. 15 approved pursuing a grant opportunity which could be used to help with city water and sewer.
Council members heard a report from Spicer Group of St. Johns about a Drinking Water Assessment Management Grant opportunity that would give funding to the city water systems.
