Ownership of Montcalm County’s tiniest park is reverting back to a township.
The Montcalm County Board of Commissioners voted 9-0 on Aug. 24 to give Bass Lake Park back to Richland Township. Merrill and Marcella Stukey originally deeded the property to Richland Township in 1970 and the township then deeded the property to the county in 1971, according to the Montcalm County Controller-Administrator’s Office.
