After much uncertainty with the state of fall sports over the last few weeks, cross country was able to officially start its season on Friday and the Black Knights of Belding were just happy to be competing again.
Hosting a head-to-head race against Sparta at Lightning Bend Park, the boys and girls teams ran together as friends and family, some in masks, watched on and cheered for a live race for the first time in many months.
As state health and safety regulations regarding the coronavirus pandemic continue to change, Crystal Township is now wondering if the time is right to reopen the Crystal Community Center for event rentals.
When the pandemic hit in March, the Crystal Township Board was forced to cancel many events that the building was rented out for due to Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s executive orders limiting the number of people allowed inside an area at a given time.

When Brian and Autumn Murray moved into their new home on Berridge Road a little more than a year ago, they did so due to one specific attraction — a rustic, wooden barn.
“That’s actually why we moved there. We were looking all over for different barns in the area and we saw a bunch of them, but this one was perfect, just what we were looking for,” Brian said.
