Belding Area Schools adopt hybrid learning plan

Belding Area Schools will adopt a hybrid plan for in-person learning for at least the beginning of the school year.

On Wednesday, the Board of Education held a special meeting to discuss adopting a remote learning plan for the school year, which begins on Aug. 24.

Belding Area Schools start fundraiser for PPE

Covering the cost of personal protection equipment (PPE), especially for a school district the size of Belding, is easier said than done.

To help offset some of the cost that the district has had to spend on masks, hand sanitizer and other PPE, Belding Area Schools officials recently started an online fundraiser encouraging community members to donate to the cause.

Vestaburg school board votes to delay in-person education for 6 weeks

Vestaburg Community School will delay in-person learning for at least six weeks after school starts Aug. 25.

The school board voted 6-0 on Aug. 4 to delay face-to-face instruction and to implement options of either distance learning or virtual learning for students.
