The Eureka Township resident and her family did just that, stopping throughout Greenville to purchase some unique food items during the first of four “Foodie Friday” events along the Fred Meijer Flat River Trail.

In both May and June, the Crystal Township Board approved motions to seek bids for repairing the Crystal Community Center’s roof in a 4-1 vote.
On July 8, the board once again voted 4-1 to continue that process, despite some confusion from the audience.

Looking for a new business to occupy his vacant property on Lafayette Street, Mike Kohley saw his efforts move one step closer to clarity last Thursday evening.
The Greenville Planning Commission voted unanimously, with commissioners Susan Hoppough and Amy O’Brien absent, to approve his request to rezone a single parcel at 817 S. Lafayette St. from R-2, Single-and Two-Family Residential Zoning District, to the C-1, Neighborhood Commercial Zoning District.

An on-duty Michigan State Police trooper from the Lakeview Post was involved in a two-vehicle, serious-injury crash on Grand River Avenue, west of Nash Highway, just before 10 p.m. Friday in Ionia County’s Boston Township.
Preliminary investigation shows Trooper Caleb Starr, 33, was westbound on Grand River Avenue in his patrol vehicle and was struck by a vehicle traveling eastbound on Grand River Avenue, driven by a 28-year-old Utah woman.
