Belding Party Store robbed at gunpoint, suspect remains at large

A suspect in an armed robbery Friday evening at the Belding Party Store remains at large, according to officials with the Belding Police Department. According to Belding Police Chief Dale Nelson, at approximately 7:08 p.m. a male subject entered the Belding Party Store at 304 N. Bridge Street in downtown Belding with a handgun, which he showed, and demanded cash from two employees in the store.

Greenville’s girls basketball team dominated the Belding Black Knights during the first half of Friday night’s contest, which was enough to carry the Yellow Jackets to victory. Greenville entered Friday night’s game determined and ready on both sides of the ball. Offensively, they shot well from the field. Defensively, they shut down Belding and forced numerous turnovers.
