Vestaburg school board splits in vote for students to return to in-person learning Oct. 12

The Vestaburg Community Schools Board of Education decided in a split vote Monday to give students the option of going back to school in person starting Oct. 12.

The vote came during a special school board meeting, at which Superintendent Brandon Hubbard presented the administration’s recommendation that students be allowed to return to in-person learning starting Oct. 26. The school board previously voted in early August to delay the start of in-person learning for at least six weeks, meaning Vestaburg students have all been doing virtual or distance learning since school started Aug. 25.
