Tri County Area Schools broke ground Thursday on a “cafetorium” project at the high school.
The facility will be used as a cafeteria during the day and can convert into an acoustical theater that will seat about 700 people for concerts, performances and other community events. The project is being funded by a $37 million bond approved by voters in August 2019 and the new facility is expected to be open by the fall of 2023.
