Recall effort can move forward against Otisco Township supervisor, treasurer

Proposed language petitions to recall the Otisco Township supervisor and treasurer were “reluctantly” approved by the Ionia County Election Commission on Friday.

The petitions were filed by former Otisco Township treasurer Cara Johnson, whose previous recall petitions of Pike and Byrne with the same verbiage were approved last year, but they were not placed on the ballot as an insufficient number of valid signatures were obtained.
