CC-C’s Carli McAlvey reaches 1,000 career digs in three-set win over Coleman

Every good volleyball team needs a good libero — a player that’s willing to dive on the floor and keep the ball in play for their team with a quality dig.

Carli McAlvey proved from a young age that she’s not just a good libero, she was much more than that — something Carson City-Crystal head volleyball coach Kali Jo Donahue noticed from a young age. McAlvey beat out multiple upperclassmen for the starting libero position as a sophomore in 2020 and never relinquished it.
