New Winfield Township Board switches to Daily News for public notices, makes multiple other changes


The mood was hopeful in snowy Amble on Thursday evening as three newly elected township board members officially took on their new responsibilities.

Ryan VanSolkema was sworn in as supervisor, Ken Bloom as clerk and Julia Potratz as trustee after the three newcomers successfully ousted longtime incumbents Phyllis Larson as supervisor, Colleen Stebbins as clerk and John Black as trustee in the Nov. 8 recall election.
