For perhaps a quarter century, officials in this township have fielded complaints from residents regarding junk in people’s yards, and more specifically, junk consisting of numerous vehicles parked across residential properties.
During a special meeting of the Montcalm Township Planning Commission on April 26, the commission took a step forward in addressing the problem by voting unanimously, with Commissioner David Jacobsen absent, to draft a new ordinance that would regulate just how many unlicensed vehicles can remain parked in view of other residences.
