Jury will hear about prior drunken driving convictions of woman charged in trooper’s death


The jury in the trial of a woman charged with killing a Michigan State Police trooper in an alleged drunken driving head-on crash will hear about the woman’s two prior convictions for drunken driving.

On Tuesday in Ionia County Circuit Court, Ionia County Prosecutor Kyle Butler argued a motion of intent to admit evidence during the trial of Thomasina Shani Jones, 29.
