JULIE STAFFORD: Learning from the love birds

Canada geese could teach us all a lesson about relationships and what good parenting looks like.

First of all, they mate for life. They start looking for a partner who is about their same size when they are two or three. Their life span can be anywhere from 10 to 25 years and if their partner dies, they will look for another mate.
