Two teams came in undefeated during Friday night’s big match-up, but it was the Central Montcalm Green Hornets that came out unscathed, as they beat Big Rapids 48-39.
This was no usual high school basketball game. With a large crowd on hand, the night had the electricity of a playoff game, and both teams played like heavyweight boxers, pounding on each other in the paint and grinding out shots and rebounds as if it meant a championship title, which it just might.
