Ionia boys soccer takes down Olivet, 5-0, in annual Purple Game without leading scorer

Zane Sarka had his game boots off sooner than he would have liked. Sooner than anyone on the Ionia boys soccer bench would have liked, for that matter.

Sarka suffered an apparent upper right leg injury after taking a shot just 110 seconds into Thursday’s home match against Olivet at Lloyd T. Smith Memorial Field. He limped off the field immediately under his own power, but was on crutches by the end of the game.
