Most days, the Yellow Jackets would be thrilled to see an 8-1 final score in favor of the home team at Hannah Field, but Tuesday was atypical.
Hosting the Rockford Rams for the first round of softball districts on Tuesday, the Jackets acted as the visiting team and batted first against Rockford, falling in defeat. A normal district foe for the Jackets, head coach Kristen Ritter wasn’t shocked to see Rockford take an early 6-0 lead in the first two innings.
