Greenville school board to consider new curriculum

Vote will occur at Aug. 8 meeting

Aiming to help students better manage emotions, develop positive relationships and make good decisions, Greenville Public Schools is preparing to implement a new social and emotional learning (SEL) curriculum for the upcoming school year. 

During Monday’s Board of Education meeting, Superintendent Linda Van Houten informed the board that following the implementation of a pilot program this past school year, district administration are prepared to implement SEL curricula at both the elementary and secondary levels.
