The future of two dams in Newaygo County, and their related business and recreational opportunities, are being weighed by Consumers Energy and local residents.
The Croton Dam in Newaygo County’s Croton Township was commissioned in 1907, making it 116 years old. The Hardy Dam in Newaygo County’s Big Prairie Township was commissioned in 1931, making it 92 years old.
