Greenville Public Safety Officer embraces relationships to help keep city safe

Ever since he can remember, Alex Tanis has had a mindset that if someone ever needed assistance, he could be an individual capable of jumping in at a moment’s notice, ready and willing to help. 

With his father, now a detective at the Kent County Sheriff’s Office, possessing 25 years of experience in law enforcement, and his grandfather a retired lieutenant from the same agency, Tanis’ family lineage in law enforcement dates as far back as his great-great-grandfather.
