When Carson City-Crystal’s boys basketball team shared the Mid State Activities Conference title last season with Montabella, there was a juxtaposition between feeling celebratory and feeling regretful in some respects.
On one hand, the Eagles had just won a conference title and swept a powerful Montabella team to get the job done. On the other, the Eagles had just two losses on their record which, ultimately, prevented them from winning the conference title outright. Those two losses: Breckenridge.
