Concerned parents, citizens speak out on Greenville book-ban request


As the fates of two books recently requested to be removed from the Greenville High School library are decided this week, individuals on both sides of the issue came forward Monday evening.

During the regular monthly meeting of the Greenville Public Schools Board of Education, 14 individuals spoke out during the public comment portion of the meeting, the majority of which having chosen to speak on the subject of whether certain books within the school district’s libraries should be banned.
