A recent Daily News article about blight led to a lengthy discussion during Monday’s Cato Township Board meeting about the township’s blight ordinance process, as well as the lack of a requirement for written complaints.
Township resident Jessica Kwekel quoted from the Feb. 11 news article “The fight against blight,” specifically the portion detailing how she and her husband Jeremy Kwekel had to pay $1,000 in court fines after being reported for blight on their Gravel Ridge Road property.
