Cold, rainy, windy. It’s similar to Big Ten Conference weather, as many sports fans would say. Those make for a great day for runners, as opposed to the summer heat they deal with most of the season.
The conditions at Tuesday’s O-K Silver cross country championship at Ironwood Golf Course made for good breathing weather — it’s a real thing, runners would share. The air didn’t hit the lungs as sharply as it would when the weather turns cold and the snow starts to fly.
