Belding City Council purchases Main Street building for new City Hall

The Belding City Council unanimously voted last Tuesday to purchase a vacant building at 115 E. Main St., which will become the new location of City Hall.

The Main Street building was owned by Belco Industries and was purchased by the city for $300,000, including the parking lot at 117 E. Main St. The property has an assessed value of $240,000 and an estimated market value of $480,000.
