This is a huge step in the right direction.
I urge the Board of Commissioners to take this advice to heart and do the RIGHT THING!

The Animal Shelter ad hoc committee got more done in two months than Pat Carr has in seventeen years!

Good news! Now comes the real test - if the county commission will actually listen to their constituents and affirm the end of the atrocious relationship between Montcalm County and R&R. Fingers crossed they will do the right thing!

The Animal Shelter ad hoc committee is commended and applauded for their ability to put aside all the rhetoric and posturing and give a hard look at the facts and the voice of the people. This vote serves the community well and with integrity. We can only hope that the commissioners follow the recommendation of the committee that spent so much time and effort looking into this.

Finally! this article made my day. I'm so glad that they've decided quit living in the past. There is no need for live animal testing anymore. R&R Research should crawl back under it's rock since it can't make anymore blood money off of animals in need of a home. Cheers to the shelter committee. I hope the commissioners do the same. I doubt if Carr will because he's a bit too protective of R&R. But this is a step in the right direction!

Gee, let me guess who voted against it.....Woudenberg who profits from it, his vet who he pays and Carr who is clearly their puppet.

Thank goodness!!!!!!!!! I hope that they will be able to get back the funding assistance for low cost spay and neuter program, and also hope they get the crematorium!!!!! They could offer crematory services to the community and use that money to improve the shelter
